"Christ Our Hope" is the theme for St. Peter's original Catholic Vacation Bible School which will be held July 28 - August 1 2008.

Following 8 AM Mass, the program officially starts at 8:45 AM in the church for prayer, then its over to the St. Peter's Middle School where the various age groups meet with their teachers to learn about the saint of the day, sacred scripture, and four "acts" which include:

  • The Act of Hope
  • The Act of Love
  • The Act of Faith
  • The Act of Contrition

The curriculum is once again created just for St. Peter's VBS participants, and is focused on our Catholic faith, through scripture and tradition.

Other activities of the day include music practice where VBS participants learn songs focused on the theme of the week, which will they will perform for their parents at the potluck at noon on Friday.

Every day the students will create a unique Catholic craft, also focused on the theme for the week and topic of the day. At the end of the week they will get to take all their creations home with them, reminders of all the fun they had during the week and what they learned at Vacation Bible School.
