Mission Statement
St. Peter’s Parish Religious Education, in faithfulness to God and the Catholic Church, and under the leadership of our pastor, endeavors to guide the children and teens of St. Peter’s toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and God the Father. We seek to provide for young people and their families, the tools of knowledge and faith to live out their commitment to God, and a foundation of Catholic truth on which to build the rest of their lives.
We will accomplish this by:
- Providing a solid catechesis for grades 1 – 9 in the pillars of our faith:Creed, Sacraments, Commandments, and Prayer;
- Assisting parents in the crucial task of teaching the faith at home;
- Preparing students for the sacraments of 1st Communion, 1st Reconciliation, and Confirmation, as well as providing ongoing opportunities for study and discipleship after Confirmation.
This is our mission, which by God’s grace will serve Him and bring close to Him the young people of St. Peter’s.
